Heritage Preserve
Sharon, GA
Under Construction
designed at Kronberg Urbanists + Architects
Heritage Preserve is a retreat center located on a remote, rural site that sits near the location of the first Catholic settlement in the state of Georgia. A tranquil place in a unique setting, Heritage Preserve offers visitors the opportunity to seek, find, and renew their faith through connection with history and the natural environment.
As the lead architect, Lineweight Studio’s Eric Bethany was responsible for the design of sixteen guest cottages and the 9,000 square-foot multipurpose “Event Center”, which contains a large gathering space, commercial kitchen, retail store and cafe, administrative rooms, classroom, library, and a small chapel. Other buildings on the property designed by Bethany include several outbuildings, including restroom pavilions, a picnic pavilion, a dock house, and a maintenance barn.
Design began in 2019 and continues today as the vision for Heritage Preserve continues to evolve and mature. Lineweight remains involved in carrying out Construction Administration duties for the cottages and Event Center, which are expected to open in Spring 2024.
